When a man is accused by a bill of indictment preferred by a grand jury, he is said to be indicted. for the murder of his beautiful movie-star wife. He hires Attorney Joseph Antonelli to defend him. The director is arrogant ar·ro·gant adj. 1. Having or displaying a sense of overbearing self-worth or self-importance. 2. Marked by or arising from a feeling or assumption of one's superiority toward others: , brilliant, hated or loved (depending on who is speaking) and could easily have killed his wife. But did he? The plot goes back and forth; the dialogue is realistic; the Hollywood insider's information is detailed and fascinating. The courtroom scenes play like one of the director's films, just as he wants them to play. Antonelli's defense is well done, though he is never sure that the director is innocent. A fascinating story and Schirner's fully voiced performance keeps up with the writing. His women are as good as his men, and his pace is always appropriate.
