"This is more than performing, it's serving through the arts." In between acts, students shared memories of how Lowell has inspired them. The two performances in April raised $4,000 for Smith's living and medical expenses. Student choreographers, musicians, dancers, and videographers from five D.C.-area schools teamed up to create "NEW WORK 2007: A Collaborative Showcase" presented April 14-15.
