About the Master Controller

The patented Master Controller with reverse cycle defrost, provides customers with an 80% reduction in defrost energy usage over electric defrost heaters and a defrost time of three to five minutes compared with 20 to 30 minutes for electric defrost heaters. The demand defrost feature automatically senses the optimal time for defrost and prevents unnecessary and costly defrosts. Master-Bilt's Master Controller option controls an electric expansion valve (Steam Engine) a cut-off valve, to shut off steam from the cylinder before the end of each stroke.
