Stamford owners, managers collect blood for Red Cross.[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED] The American Red Cross American Red Cross: see Red Cross. collected 245 productive pints of blood as a result of the 2007 Stamford Property Manager and Landlord Blood Drive Challenge which ran throughout the summer. The Challenge, which was spearheaded by George Comfort & Sons' High Ridge Park Corporate Center, more than tripled the amount of blood raised by 2006 Stamford Property drives. "Since each unit collected can save up to three lives, the Stamford Property Managers and their tenants may have helped to save as many as 735 Connecticut hospital patients," said Joan Bennett, Account Executive, American Red Cross Blood Services Connecticut Region. "Because of this summer's severe blood shortage, these results could not have come at a better time." Mayor Dannel P.
