Staffordshire News: Jobs boost scheme is a success; STAFFORD.

BUSINESS is booming in Stafford as council bosses celebrate the success of a multi-million pounds jobs boosting regeneration Regeneration (biology)

The process by which an animal restores a lost part of its body. Broadly defined, the term can include wound healing, tissue repair, and many kinds of restorative activities.

A pounds 5 million grant awarded to Stafford Borough Council by Advantage West Midlands West Midlands, former metropolitan county, central England. Created in the 1974 local government reorganization, the county embraced the Birmingham conurbation and comprised seven metropolitan districts: Walsall, Wolverhampton, Dudley, Sandwell, Birmingham, Solihull, , has seen a massive 450 jobs created and a staggering 115 business ventures get off the ground.

Now with just six months to go before the seven year Culturegen project, funded by the Single Regeneration Budget comes to an end, Stafford Borough Council is already celebrating its success.

Ray Barnett Ray Barnett is a fictional doctor portrayed by actor Shane West on the television show ER. His character first appeared in fall 2004 at the start of the 11th season. , chairman of Stafford's Partnership Board, said: "Although the programme has focussed on business development, this has had a knock-on effect for the rest of Stafford.

"The pleasing thing is the number of jobs created is far in excess of our original targets.

"The real legacy of this project will be watching those Stafford business ventures we've been able to support thrive and flourish."
