Staccato Communications, an Ultra Wideband (UWB (Ultra-WideBand) A wireless technology that uses less power and provides higher speed than 802.11 Wi-Fi networks or first-generation Bluetooth products. UWB is expected to provide wireless video transmission for home theater systems, cable TV, auto safety and ) wireless technology pioneer and Certified Wireless USB The wireless version of the universal serial bus (USB). Using ultra-wideband (UWB) technology, wireless USB is designed to provide the same 480 Mbits/sec data rate as USB 2.0 within two meters (6.6 ft.) or 110 Mbps within 10 meters (33 ft.).  leader, today announced its Team Staccato Partner Program with 14 initial partners. Leveraging partnerships with industry leaders throughout the value chain, the program enables Staccato to provide its customers with total solutions for WiMedia-based UWB and Certified Wireless USB. The first phase of the program includes collaborative efforts with test equipment, UWB filter and antenna component, and software driver companies. The second phase of the program will involve test houses, production test partners, design services and module partners. This announcement comes on the heels of the customer engagements Staccato unveiled earlier this month with AboCom, Cameo and Cellink, and the production test engagement for ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) A contract manufacturer that uses its own designs and intellectual property (IP). See contract manufacturer.  and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  customers with Asian Information Technology Inc. (AIT).

"Staccato's close collaboration with industry-leading partners and their commitment to serve as significant resources is a true validation of Staccato's total solutions approach," said Mark Bowles, founder and vice president of Business Development and Corporate Marketing for Staccato Communications. "Customers are choosing Staccato's Ripcord rip·cord

(TM) solution because it greatly speeds time-to-market while significantly minimizing both design risk and cost. We believe the best way to stimulate the worldwide appetite for WiMedia-based Certified Wireless USB and Bluetooth 3.0 applications is to provide complete solutions supported by an array of excellent partners."

"Within every large semiconductor market there is a thriving ecosystem under development that supports every aspect of the value chain from software, production testing and packaging to certification, external components, reference designs, and design services. The creation of Team Staccato is proof that the UWB and Certified Wireless USB market continues to gain strength and influence. Staccato has done an excellent job in collecting the support of such a strong and diverse set of partners around their Ripcord products, which ultimately drove the evolution of the Team Staccato Partner Program," said Chris Kissel This article is about a dessert. UWB Filter and Antenna Component Partners

With an inaugural group of seven Team Staccato UWB component partner companies, Staccato is ideally positioned to provide its customers with solutions that have been fully optimized for performance and cost. Staccato is actively working with UWB component manufacturers of band-pass filters, diplexers, triplexers and antennas to support multiple bands of the WiMedia UWB radio. In addition, many of the resulting component products support WiFi and Bluetooth for combined Certified Wireless USB solutions.

Staccato's Ripcord is the industry's first true single-chip, all-CMOS product implemented in a complete System-In-Package (SiP). Ripcord's high level of integration minimizes design risk, lowers system cost and accelerates customers' time-to-market by consolidating all hardware and software components needed for commercial implementation. In most product designs, customers only need voltage regulators and an external antenna for a complete Certified Wireless USB node. Staccato's Ripcord Development Kit (SC3111) currently ships with antenna samples from seven different companies, including FDK Corporation; Fujitsu Components America, Inc.; Fractus; Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd.; OMRON Corporation; Taiyo Yuden Co., Ltd.; and TDK Corporation. This allows customers to make a quick evaluation of available UWB antenna options. In addition to samples, full technical specifications are supplied for each antenna, making the designer's job easier.

Software Partners

Another key element of Staccato's successful total product solution includes the availability of software, including drivers. While Staccato develops and supplies a significant portion of software for Certified Wireless USB, we also work with software operating system operating system (OS)
