Sri Lanka Telecom Upgrades Network with Juniper Networks Routing Platforms; M-series Multiservice Routing Platforms Key to Enhanced Services for Premium and Corporate Customers.

(Nasdaq:JNPR) today announced that Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) has deployed Juniper Networks M-series multiservice routers to enhance its network and to provide advanced IP services to SLT's premium and corporate customers. The Juniper Networks M-series has replaced the legacy gateway routers in SLT's network, enabling SLT to achieve significantly higher performance and reliability.

The M-series provides line-rate performance at high speeds -- even with advanced quality (QoS) and class of service (CoS) filters -- enabling SLT to offer assured performance for its advanced services even as new services are added.

The Juniper Networks M-series multiservice edge routing platform supports the industry's most comprehensive VPN portfolio, enabling service providers to rapidly and efficiently deploy new, revenue-generating services to their customers. The M-series high-performance platform supports rich Layer 2 services including ATM, Frame Relay, and Ethernet, comprehensive Layer 3 services and integrated firewall and data encryption protection.
