Building on over 20 years of data security experience, Sprint Thursday announced the integration of Security Dynamics Technologies Inc.'s SecurID(R) and ACE/Server(R) user authentication products into its comprehensive suite of managed security solutions.

The integration of SecurID and ACE/Server software provides businesses protection against unauthorized Internet/Intranet access to electronic mail, computer files and databases. With Sprint as the single point of contact for managed Internet Protocol (IP) security, customers can maximize resources by focusing on core business operations.

SecurID provides reliable authentication and guards against unauthorized access to Sprint networks using Security Dynamics' patented one-time passcode technology.

At login, users simply enter their personal identification number (PIN), followed by the code displayed on their SecurID token card, which changes every 60 seconds and is verified by the ACE/Server network security software. SecurID provides substantially greater security than traditional passwords.
