Spotfire Announces Web Services Support for DecisionSite to Inject Analytics Into Business Processes.

Infinity Pharmaceuticals chooses Spotfire as a key component in

its Web services architecture

Analytic application provider Spotfire(R) Inc. today announced the first Web services-enabled software for applying analytics to business processes across the enterprise.

By marrying its analytic applications to a Web services architecture, Spotfire DecisionSite(TM) 7.0 simplifies the direct integration and configuration of analytic processes with distributed, heterogeneous information sources. For example, Infinity Pharmaceuticals Inc. is rapidly deploying a Web services-based drug discovery platform using DecisionSite 7.0 as the analytic engine that facilitates analysis of large amounts of structured information generated inside and outside of the company.

New in DecisionSite 7.0's analytic application framework is a distributed deployment manager that speeds and simplifies configuration of analytic applications and allows users to take analytics offline. A new DecisionSite Developer Web site supports DecisionSite 7.0's configuration and analytic application development. The interface uses extensible markup language (XML) and simple object access protocol (SOAP)-based information interaction services to easily integrate application and data sources with DecisionSite's analytic applications.
