ColorPort for the Xerox DocuColor 2000 Series digital colour presses

Splash Technology, Inc., (Nasdaq: SPLH), a leading international supplier of colour servers that transform printing engines into powerful networked printers, introduces its next generation software at Drupa - the G620 connecting to the Xerox DocuColor 12 copier/printer. Splash product highlights also include the newly announced ColorPort for the DocuColor 2000 Series.

The G620 is the latest product in the Splash G Series, a Mac OS-based colour server line for the graphic arts market that delivers the ideal solution for printing colour critical proofs and high-quality short runs. The G620 is exhibited in the Xerox hall 18 and on the Apple stand B24 in hall 6 to demonstrate creative and pre-press applications.

Extending the Splash G Series' reputation for benchmark quality colour, the G620 introduces many exclusive first-to-market features, including new unique colour correction and calibration features (CopyCal, Color Tuner, ColorCal Gray Calibration) and production printing and productivity tools. Splash has also added many new pre-press features that facilitate digital proofing. Features include direct printing of TIFF-IT P1 and DCS (1) See also DSC.

The ColorPort delivers exceptional colour, productivity and ease of use in such demanding environments as corporate reprographic departments, quick print shops, and the publishing and graphic arts community.

The Splash ColorPort can be seen in the Xerox hall driving a Xerox DocuColor 2045 digital colour press in the digital print shop area and the DocuColor 2060 in the just-in-time book production area.
