Spirent Communications(TM), a wholly-owned business group of Spirent plc (NYSE: SPM), demonstrates its AirAccess EV Network Emulator at the CDMA Americas Congress Test Forum from October 31 to November 2. AirAccess EV is the wireless industry's first commercially available test solution for CDMA2000 1xEV Access Terminals.

AirAccess EV provides access terminal manufacturers with emulation of a 1xEV packet data network and air link. This allows manufactures to develop and verify high-speed wireless Internet services on their devices. AirAccess EV unleashes data rates of up to 2.4 Mbps and offers flexible configuration of critical network parameters via easy-to-use web-based interfaces.

In addition to its inherent network emulation capabilities, AirAccess EV couples with Spirent's TAS4500 FLEX5 RF Channel Emulator, TAS4600A Noise & Interference Emulator and TAS5600C Universal Interference Emulator to provide the necessary test configuration for Access Terminal Minimum Performance Specification (AT-MPS) testing. Prior to commercial deployment, access terminals must successfully pass the tests defined in the industry-established AT-MPS, as well as evolving signaling and conformance specifications.
