Spectrometer combines raman analytical technique with detectors.

The NXR NXR Naxxar (postal locality, Malta)  FT-Raman system is said to combine faster detectors and sampling automation to make high-throughput screening applications possible. The NXR FT-Raman platform is targeted at chemists, materials scientists and process developers in polymer production.

The NXR FT-Raman spectrometers combine the Raman analytical technique known for its minimal sample preparation and fluorescence-free data collection with high-performance detectors. The NXR Genie germanium germanium (jərmā`nēəm) [from Germany], semimetallic chemical element; symbol Ge; at. no. 32; at. wt. 72.59; m.p. 937.4°C;; b.p. 2,830°C;; sp. gr. 5.323 at 25°C;; valence +2 or +4.  detector is said to deliver new levels of speed, signal-to-noise ratio The ratio of the power or volume (amplitude) of a signal to the amount of unwanted interference (the noise) that has mixed in with it. Measured in decibels, signal-to-noise ratio (SNR or S/N) measures the clarity of the signal in a circuit or a wired or wireless transmission channel.  and hold time, allowing high-speed scanning without compromising on data quality.

The instruments also integrate a MicroStage FT-Raman microscope that is said to enable easy macro- and micro-sampling from the same stage. Smaller objects can be viewed, and the versatility of the platform means that high-end experimentation can be performed efficiently and accurately, according to the company.

The NXR FT-Raman family includes a combination of standalone and modular FT-IR FT-IR Fourier Transform-Infrared  systems. The NXR 9650 FT-Raman spectrometer is designed for researchers requiring the highest performance available. The NXR FT-Raman module is compatible with the Nicolet FT-IR series spectrometer, as well as earlier FT-IR instruments. The MicroStage FT-Raman microscope incorporates a motorized mo·tor·ize
