Spectra Logic Corporation today announced a strategic partnership with VERITAS(R) Software (NASDAQ: VRTS) to provide a scalable, SAN-based backup solution for Network Appliance filer environments utilizing VERITAS NetBackup storage management software. The solution utilizes a &uot;NetApp(R)-approved&uot; SAN infrastructure which allows customers to share tape resources among multiple filers - reducing total backup costs, improving manageability, and yielding a much more scalable solution as the filer capacity grows or as more filers are added to the environment.
