Spectra Logic Corp., today announced a strategic partnership with Legato Systems (NASDAQ:LGTO) to provide a scalable SAN-based backup solution for Network Appliance(tm) Filer environments utilizing Legato's NetWorker(tm) storage management software. The solution utilizes a &uot;NetApp(R)-approved&uot; SAN infrastructure, which is installed on the backside of Network Appliance Filers, allowing customers to share the tape resources. This solution cuts the total backup system costs, improves manageability, and yields a much more scalable solution as the Filer data grows or as more Filers are added to the environment.
