Specialty plastics and elastomers are offered for rubber applications.

Specialty elastomers are said to be common ingredients in the formulation of synthetic and industrial rubbers. They are the key building blocks of the most commonly used synthetic and industrial products, including styrene-butadiene rubbers (SBR SBR - Spectral Band Replication ), polybutadiene rubbers (BR) and ethylene-propylene-diene-terpolymers (EPDM EPDM Ethylene-Propylene-Diene-Monomer

), according to the company, which offers a number of plastics, plastomers and elastomers to meet the needs of the industrial/synthetic rubber industries.

By far, the largest market for synthetic rubbers is said to be in the automotive industry. More than 70% of worldwide consumption is said to be used in tires, and mechanical and non-mechanical automotive goods. Other applications that utilize synthetic rubbers include medical devices, plastics modification, and the building and construction industries.

Nordel IP and Nordel MG hydrocarbon rubbers are said to help maximize the performance of next-generation EPDM rubbers by offering improved yield, reduced scrap and outstanding polymer cleanliness, as well as outstanding mixing performance. They are said to be used in a wide variety of applications, from tires, hoses and conveyor belts to footwear, flooring, plastics modification and even golf balls. They are said to be valued for easy processing, excellent uniformity and lot-to-lot consistency.

polyethylene resins are performance polymers that are said to offer manufacturers an inherent resistance to heat, oxidation, chemicals, low temperatures, weathering and ozone, due to their saturated molecular backbone. They are said to be a cost-effective solution in elastomer elastomer (ĭlăs`təmər), substance having to some extent the elastic properties of natural rubber. The term is sometimes used technically to distinguish synthetic rubbers and rubberlike plastics from natural rubber.  applications and offer an excellent balance of retardant properties for general rubber applications. In thermosetting polymers, the polymer chains are joined (or cross-linked) by intermolecular bonding. Thermosets are usually supplied as partially polymerized or as monomer-polymer mixtures.  to upgrade their properties.
