Specialty elastomers are presented in the company's 16-page, four-color 2003 Product Guide. The company produces Nipol NBR, HyTemp and Nipol ACM, Hydrin ECO, Zetpol HNBR and Zeotherm TPVs, used in the manufacture of hoses, seals, gaskets, belts and other parts for the automotive, industrial, oil field and printing markets. Zeotherm TPVs are high-performance, heat- and oil-resistant thermoplastic vulcanizates capable of withstanding temperatures up to 150[degrees]C. Zetpol ZEL is an additive system that utilizes an advanced compounding technology to help extend the life of parts such as gaskets, seals and packings. Zetpol HNBR is supplied in a wide range of acrylonitrile levels which allows for a choice between excellent oil and fuel resistance and improved low temperature properties, according to the literature. HyTemp acrylic polymers are intended to meet new, more severe automotive environments. They are said to exhibit an improved level of heat and compression set resistance. DuoMod tougheners are said to provide increased toughness and improved damage tolerance in a range of applications. Hydrin epichlorohydrin elastomers are said to offer mechanical properties much like natural rubber, along with many of the desirable properties of nitrile, polychloroprene, polysulfide and polyacrylic rubbers, according to the literature.
