NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF TEACHERS OF SINGING The National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) was founded in 1944 and is now the largest association of teachers of singing in the world. Today NATS boasts more than 6,500 members in the United States, Canada, and over twenty-five other countries around the world, including  SPRING WORKSHOP

) are joining together to offer the NATS Spring Workshop, Musical Theater III. This year's workshop will feature sessions concentrating on the techniques used to teach and perform musical theater repertoire Repertoire may mean Repertory but may also refer to:
  • Repertoire (theatre), a system of theatrical production and performance scheduling
  • Repertoire Records, a German record label specialising in 1960s and 1970s pop and rock reissues
. Other highlights include sessions about preparing for auditions and movement and music, in addition to master classes and a round table discussion. Elisabeth Howard, Claudia Catania, Robert Edwin and Tony Caramia will be the featured faculty for the workshop. MTNA Conference registrants may attend any or all of the NAT's workshops at no additional charge.

TECHNOLOGY TRACK

As the field of music education continues to evolve and change quickly in the early twenty-first century, MTNA is proud to continue its leadership role by offering a wide-ranging selection of lecture and interactive technology sessions at the 2005 National Conference.

MTNA/NATIONAL PIANO FOUNDATION GROUP TEACHING TRACK

MTNA and the National Piano Foundation again will partner to offer a Group Teaching Track at the 2005 MTNA National Conference. Sessions will explore effective strategies for teaching group piano and creating an exciting atmosphere for introducing musical concepts and skills. Additional sessions will focus on Recreational Music Making and its impact on an individual's quality of life, sight reading in a group setting, self-directed practice, adult group piano study and arranging for keyboard ensemble The word ensemble can refer to
  • a musical ensemble (This, along with 'ensemble cast' are the most commonly used ways to describe an ensemble though obviously not the only ways)
.

EXHIBIT HALL

The exhibit hall features one of the most comprehensive gatherings of companies serving the music teaching profession. The exhibit hall will be open Sunday, April 3, through Tuesday, April 5, 9:00 A.M.-5:30 P.M.

Exhibit hall-only times will be offered throughout the conference so attendees can visit the hall without missing any sessions:
Sunday, April 3    11:45 A.M.-12:45 P.M.
Monday, April 4    2:15-3:15 P.M.
Tuesday, April 5   4:30-5:30 P.M.
