Speakers set the record straight on recreation.


The Citizens for Lake Metroparks in Ohio will present a series of luncheon speakers called "Partners in Progress," which will help bring community leaders and business owners together. The speakers will address topics that impact the quality of life in Lake County and northeastern Ohio. The values, research, experiences and insights of the speakers' series will explore many factors that affect our economy, the environment, education, health and leadership.

On Aug. 25 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at Pine Ridge Pine Ridge is the name of several places in the United States and Canada, including:

 a distinguished professor of Recreation, Park and Tourism Sciences at Texas A & M University, will speak on "Parks, Tourism, Trees and Open Space--Ingredients for a Recipe for Regional Economic Success."

Then on Oct. 27, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites La Malfa Centre in Mentor, Ohio Mentor is a city in Lake County, Ohio, United States. The population was 50,278 at the 2000 census. In July 2006, CNNMoney.com ranked Mentor 68th in a list of the Top 100 Best Places to Live in America.

, Dr. Ronaldo Ronaldo (Ronaldo Luiz Nazario de Lima), 1976–, Brazilian soccer player. A son of Rio de Janeiro's back streets, he signed with his first professional club at 14.  Archer, founder of Archer & Associates, will speak on "Leadership Toward a Dynamic Future." Archer has been awarded the Dr. Martin Luther King Leadership Award for his work developing leaders around the globe.
