This bill board is part of a nation wide Speak Out Campaign by the Ministry of Health and Social Services, Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare and UNICEF encouraging people to speak out against abuse. Bill boards, posters and leaflets compliment massive social mobilisation efforts at community level to report incidences of violence and abuse to the police or social workers. Over 500 people in all 13 regions of Namibia have been trained on women and child protection issues. This year they will form community protection groups and train community lay counsellors in 5 regions to strengthen the effectiveness of the Speak Out Campaign.
