Network, one of the largest rehabilitation facilities in the U.S., has chosen Cloverleaf(R) Integration Services, the core component of the Cloverleaf(R) Integration Suite from Quovadx, to automate the integration of its clinical IT systems. Cloverleaf technology will first be used to facilitate the integration of HL7 data from two new software applications.

Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital will initially use Cloverleaf technology and professional services (job) professional services - A department of a supplier providing consultancy and programming manpower for the supplier's products.  to automatically integrate two new clinical applications into its main hospital information system (HIS). Both new applications, Computrition, used for nutrition planning and monitoring and UDSMR UDSMR Uniform Data System for Medical Rehabilitation  used for tracking and documenting medical rehabilitation, rely on HL7 standards-based messages. The hospital intends to continually add clinical and administrative IT applications that will improve the delivery of patient data to clinicians over time. As such, HL7-based messaging and integration capabilities are of utmost importance to the organization moving forward.

"At Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, like many of our peers, there is no loss of appetite loss of appetite Medtalk Anorexia, see there  for new IT systems that support our clinician's ability to provide the best patient care," said John Campbell John Campbell is the name of: British political figures

"With the Cloverleaf solution, we will quickly and easily be able to integrate these clinical applications, allowing us to maintain our aggressive IT development cycle, control costs and ultimately provide the right information to right personnel in new and innovative ways in the future."

Prior to choosing the Cloverleaf solution, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital relied on its HIS vendors to build custom integration interfaces individually, which proved to be costly and time-consuming. Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital plans to migrate three additional applications to its new Cloverleaf integration engine by the end of its fiscal year, and then to fully replace its existing point-to-point integration system by the end of the calendar year.

"Cloverleaf Integration Suite stood out during our selection process due its integration power and versatility and the product's synergies with our anticipated needs," added Campbell. "The QUOVADX Professional Services team provided us with the resources, expertise and flexibility to make implementation simple."

"Interoperability, supported by standards-based integration, is integral to facilitating the addition of new clinical and financial technology resources across the hospital organization," said Mike Epplen, vice president, product management, Integration Solutions division, Quovadx. "We are proud to work with Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital to support its integration needs as the facility continues to advance the delivery of clinical and administrative data throughout the organization."
