Spaulding & Slye Colliers initially evaluated an online backup and recovery solution that was limited in its ability to work well with the company's SQL server An earlier relational DBMS from Sybase and from Microsoft. After continuing its evaluation, Spaulding & Slye Colliers found the LiveVault Online Backup & Recovery Service to be the ideal solution. LiveVault automatically backs up the company's data to a secure, off-site Iron Mountain[R] facility, where it can be quickly and easily restored via a Web-based user interface.

Spaulding & Slye Colliers currently uses LiveVault to protect data across five locations. LiveVault includes support for complex storage environments: storage area networks (SANs), network-attached storage See NAS.  (NAS (1) See network access server.
