DRILLING PROGRAM To date, the core drilling program initiated in late June has completed a further 8 drill holes in the Guanlingpo Mine Main Pit area, totalling approximately 1000 meters, and assay results are reported here for the first 6 holes. The current program is designed to extend the South Zone breccia breccia: see conglomerate. breccia Coarse sedimentary rock consisting of angular or nearly angular fragments larger than 0.08 in. (2 mm). Breccia commonly results from processes such as landslides or geologic faulting, in which rocks are fractured. at depth and along strike to the northeast of holes GU04-07,27,28 completed in 2004 (see news releases dated Jan. 5 , 2005 and Aug. 3, 2004), as well as test the Induced Polarization Induced polarization (IP) is a geophysical imaging technique used to identify subsurface materials, such as ore. The method is similar to electrical resistivity tomography, in that an electric current is induced into the subsurface through two electrodes, and voltage is (IP) anomalies associated with this mineralization Mineralization The process by which the body uses minerals to build bone structure. Sparton's 80% owned Chinese Joint Venture Company, Yunnan Sparton Minerals Company Limited ("YSMCL"), (20% Yunnan Nuclear Geological Brigade 201 ("Brigade 201") has the right to earn a 75% interest in the Guanlingpo Mine Licence by providing the Mine owners with a positive feasibility study The analysis of a problem to determine if it can be solved effectively. The operational (will it work?), economical (costs and benefits) and technical (can it be built?) aspects are part of the study. Results of the study determine whether the solution should be implemented. . The science that deals with procedures used in extracting metals from their ores, purifying and alloying metals, and creating useful objects from metals. 2. testing returned over 80% gold recoveries for cyanide cyanide (sī`ənīd'), chemical compound containing the cyano group, -CN. Cyanides are salts or esters of hydrogen cyanide (hydrocyanic acid, HCN) formed by replacing the hydrogen with a metal (e.g., sodium or potassium) or a radical (e.g. leachable gold in bottle roll tests. (see news release dated April 19, 2005). These six holes have extended the breccia zones a further 100 metres to the northeast and approximately 35-50 meters down dip from the intersections in holes GU04-07, 27, and 28. Holes GU04-35, and 36 for which assays are not yet available, are located a further 100 metres to the northeast and 50 metres behind GU05-34 respectively (see map). A reverse circulation drill, provided by a local drill contractor, is expected to begin work in the Guanlingpo Mine in late September to more rapidly develop the database for definition of NI 43-101 compliant gold resources and provide additional sample material for metallurgical testing.

DISCUSSION These results confirm the continuity of the oxide breccias in the South Zone for an additional 100 metres along strike and to depths of at least 100 m below bedrock surface. Based on the IP anomalies directly associated with this zone, the mineralization can be expected to continue at least 500 metres to the northeast (the northeast limit of the IP coverage) along the Shangmangyang structure. The breccias are consistently found within 40-50 metres of the main fault plane and appear to dip approximately 55-65 degrees to the northwest so that the core lengths intersected approximate true widths. Future core holes will involve 100m step outs to the northeast, and the RC drill will provide fill-in information for resource calculations when it begins operation later in the month. The core rig will then begin drilling extensions of the North Zone oxide breccia material to the northeast of Hole GU04-26 (see website map) which returned values in two zones of 1.2g/t over 24m and 1.3g/t over 6 m ( see news release dated Jan. 4 , 2005). The continuity of the South Zone shown by these new results indicate that the remaining 2.1km of the 3km long fault segment to the southwest of Guanlingpo, which is untested by drilling, has the potential to host significant new oxide gold reserves. As reported earlier (news release dated August 22, 2005), this zone has been systematically covered by IP surveys, surface sampling and auger auger (ô`gər): see drill. auger Tool (or bit) used with a carpenter's brace for drilling holes, usually in wood. It looks like a corkscrew and produces extremely clean holes, almost regardless of how large the bit is. basal basal /ba·sal/ (ba´s'l) pertaining to or situated near a base; in physiology, pertaining to the lowest possible level. ba·sal adj. 1. rock chip sampling with positive results. This zone is part of the 50 km long Shangmangyang 'break' which transects the entire Luxi property and hosts other targets at Guanming,Hebienzhai,and Bajowa. A second core rig is being sought to test this area, as well as the other targets in the 250sq km Luxi exploration licence holdings. Drilling will continue with Company owned equipment in the Guanlingpo pit to extend primary bedrock hosted oxide gold mineralization within the Mine and build a database for definition of heap leachable gold resources within 100 metres of the bedrock surface.
