Leasing is underway for the final development phase of Bayview Plaza, a 102,000 SF strip center in the Hudson county city of Bayonne.

Much of this space has already been leased to a variety of product and service retailers which expect to open to the public this fall, according to Starwood Heller, LLC, the Edgewater, N.J.-based developer that acquired Bayview Plaza in 1997. The remaining available space in scattered locations throughout the site -- is available for occupancy, the company reports.

"Bayview Plaza's anchor -- an exceptionally active A&P which has been open for more than a decade -- serves as an excellent traffic draw," notes Tod Heller, a principal of Starwood Heller. "Tenants have also been attracted by the property's prime location within a densely-populated suburban area, as well as its close proximity to Staten Island via the Bayonne Bridge, which fosters an expanded shopper base."
