Space Communications Corporation to Deploy satID Satellite Geolocation System.Tokyo, Japan, Oct 7, 2005 - (JCNN JCNN Japan Corporate News Network ) - Space Communications Corporation has announced the deployment of satellite geolocation system satID, as supplied by British-based QinetiQ, a defence technology and security company. This is the first time that this type of system has been independently operated in Japan. satID's interference location accuracy is within several to 100 kilometers, so the smaller interference source antenna's diameter, the easier the measurement, making the system effective in detecting interference from VSAT (Very Small Aperture satellite Terminal) A small earth station for satellite transmission that handles up to 56 Kbits/sec of digital transmission. VSATs that handle the T1 data rate (up to 1.544 Mbits/sec) are called "TSATs. ground stations. SCC SCC - strongly connected component will operate satID from its Superbird Platform East (SPE SPE - Software Practice and Experience ) in Ibaraki, to ensure secure operation of the company's four SUPERBIRD satellites.
