Southern Iran Petrochemical Projects Up & Coming.


Several petrochemical projects in southern Iran are expected to come on stream in the next nine months, the Persian service of ISNA Isna (ĭs`nə) or Esna (ĕs`–), town (1986 pop. 43,055), central Egypt, on the Nile River. It is the center for an agricultural area that is irrigated by the Nile.  reported on Dec. 3. The ethylene unit at Zagros complex, being commissioned at the moment, is to reach annual capacity of 1.6 million tons by March 20, 2007, while the largest aromatics and olefin olefin (ō`ləfĭn) or olefin series: see alkene.
