Southern Division.

The MTNA Southern Division Competitions held on the beautiful campus of Lee University n Cleveland, Tennessee, were quite successful! We send our appreciation to Stephen Plate, dean of the school of music at Lee University, for hosting our competitions. Local Coordinator Michael Brownlee, NCTM, along with Adjudicator Chair Terry McRoberts, NCTM, and Monitor Chair Virginia Horton, did a marvelous job with on-site arrangements. Also, we appreciate our Hospitality Chair Margaret Ant Randolph, who provided refreshments.

We send sincere gratitude to Jeanette Winsor, NCTM, MTNA Southern Division competition chair, who spent countless hours organizing the competitions for us. Special accolades go to Division Coordinators: Carol Dennes, NCTM; Susan Andrews, NCTM; and Barbara Shinn, NCTM, who worked tirelessly throughout the weekend.

All MTNA Southern Division members who plan to attend the 2006 MTNA Conference in Austin, Texas, are invited to the MTNA Southern Division Meeting/Reception on Sunday, March 26. I look forward to seeing you there.

This will be my last MTNA Southern Division article as president. I have appreciated your support and the many new friendships made in each state. Many thanks to Division President-elect Fay Adams, NCTM, who faithfully took minutes at each of our meetings, and tabulated the student awards from each state. I also want to thank Southern Division Immediate Past-president Roy Wylie, NCTM, for his advice and support. It has been a pleasure to serve each of you.
