Southern Division.As I take on my new position as MTNA MTNA Music Teachers National Association MTNA Middle Tennessee Nursery Association (McMinnville, Tennessee) Southern Division director, I would like to thank Past MTNA Board of Director Roy Wylie, NCTM NCTM National Council of Teachers of Mathematics NCTM Nationally Certified Teacher of Music NCTM North Carolina Transportation Museum NCTM National Capital Trolley Museum NCTM Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage , for his leadership. I am also looking forward to working with MTNA Southern Division Director-elect, Fay Adams, NCTM. Georgia MTA recognizes state Past President Aurelia Campbell, NCTM, and 2004 GMTA Teacher of the Year Jean Mann who were featured in an article about the Studio Festival Award Program in the December/January 2005/2006 AMT See vPro. on page 58. The Athens MTA conducted a Sonatina/Sonata Festival and presented a four-piano Christmas Concert Cherokee MTA's MusicFest featured 74 students performing piano duets. Cobb County MTA hosted a Pianothon. Decatur MTA held a Piano Ensemble, spotlighting members and students. Gwinnett County MTA conducted an Ensemble Concert. Macon MTA's "Jazz and Blues" recital featured a professional jazz combo accompanied by members' students. South Metro Atlanta MTA hosted a Music Day and Composition Festival. Atlanta MTA held a Musicfest, and Greater Marietta MTA spotlighted a Pianothon and Piano Olympics. North DeKalb MTA hosted an Ensemble Olympics. In Kentucky, the Bluegrass MTA featured the Lois McCoy Festival, where students played in an encouraging atmosphere. Greater Louisville MTA's Christmas Soiree recognized a special birthday for Maurice Hinson, NCTM, and raised $1,765 for the GLMTA Keyboard Competition Scholarship Awards and for travel stipends for University of Louisville See also
