This year, we have added all four- or five-diamond and four- or five-star restaurants in Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region,  as well as the four-star spas. Mobil Travel Guide instituted star ratings for spas in 2003; no spas received five stars in the first rating guide. AAA does not rate spas. Restaurants and spas can be found at the end of the resort listings within their respective markets.

A separate category for conference centers also was added. The International Association of Conference Centers (IACC IACC International Association of Conference Centers
IACC Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee (DHSS)
IACC International Anti-Corruption Conference
IACC International AntiCounterfeiting Coalition
) rates such centers based on stringent criteria focused on conference services. Typically, IACC-rated centers must receive 60% to 70% of their total revenue from conferences and offer all-inclusive plans for groups that include conference rooms, guestrooms, meals, refreshment service and conference services. There are eight IACC-rated conference centers in Southern California. Conference centers are listed in the meetings section within their respective markets in the meeting facilities directory. Details about the International Association of Conference Centers and their facilities can be found at www.iaccnorthamerico.org.
