"For over ten years, the RTA has been a critical partner to emerging technology and life science entrepreneurs seeking funding," said Tyler Orion, RTA's President and CEO. "We are pleased that our Venture Roundtables can help promising new companies develop venture capital relationships. This year's event was the best yet for quality of presentations and investor interest."

The RTA, a local non-profit organization that supports the high tech and life sciences community, launched the Venture Roundtable series in 2001, responding to the needs of investors wanting more face time and interaction with pre-screened companies ripe for investment. In the past, several companies, including this year's presenter Wispry, have received funding after presenting at the event.

This year's session featured 9 companies - 5 high tech, 4 life sciences - all of whom were screened and mentored by the RTA. Each company principal had 10 minutes to pitch their business plan, which was followed by a brief interactive session between the presenter and investors, allowing the investors to inquire about details.
