Southeast AgNet Publications Inc., a sister company to Southeast AgNet Inc., has purchased 85-year-old Citrus Industry Magazine and Citrus Expo, making Southeast AgNet, Bartow Bartow, city (1990 pop. 14,716), seat of Polk co., central Fla.; inc. 1882. The economy is based on the production of phosphate and the raising of citrus fruit and cattle. Bartow was established in 1853 on the site of a fort built in the Seminole War. , Fla., the only combination agriculture media enterprise in the state. Southeast AgNet is owned by Gary Gary, city (1990 pop. 116,646), Lake co., NW Ind., a port of entry on Lake Michigan; inc. 1909. Gary was founded by the U.S. Steel Corporation, which purchased the land in 1905 and landscaped it for a city.  Cooper and his wife Robin Loftin, director of sales and marketing. Associated Publications sold Citrus Industry Magazine, one of the oldest agriculture publications in the state.
