Authorized physicians and staff of participating providers who undergo a short training session will be able to log onto the system and search for patient data from multiple healthcare organizations.
Built using the Community MOMENT OF CARE(R) platform, a Microsoft .NET connected platform utilizing Windows(R) Communication Foundation (WCF), SFHII employs the most up-to-date web service technology. By employing this architecture and incorporating this technology, the system provides the framework for interoperability and can easily be extended to include additional providers, payers and ancillary services to increase functionality and depth of data.

Phase III has begun with Cogon Systems conducting a data integration assessment to determine how local hospitals and providers would participate in the HIE.
