The Hundredth Monkey Ensemble is a student-run group dedicated to adventurous 20th century music. Graduate students double as performers and composers. Monday's program includes "Pleiades Remain" by Daniel Heila, "Wednesday Music" by Paul Lombardi, "Cheating, Lying and Stealing" by David Lang and two selections by Kurt Doles Kurt Doles (born August 2, 1973), American composer and bass clarinetist. He is best known for his slow, quiet instrumental pieces which are frequently written for unusual groups of instruments. : "Lost Chords" and "a bright spirit went away weeping." The Collegium Musicum The Collegium Musicum was one of several types of musical societies that arose in German and German-Swiss cities and towns during the Reformation and thrived into the mid-18th century. , under the direction of assistant professor Marc Vanscheeuwijck, will play and sing 16th century music at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Room 198 of the music building.
