 your newspaper for the excellent article by Mike Stahlberg in your May 30 issue about the YHEC YHEC Youth Hunter Education Challenge  (Young Hunter Education Challenge) program at the Emerald Empire Gun Club. Mr. Stahlberg did an outstanding job of illustrating the many benefits of getting children involved with both hunter safety and shooting skills education at an early age.

I personally met the boy who was the focus of your story, Dustin Sanders San´ders

Our community needs for more of our children to become involved in this excellent program. For it will create responsible hunters and shooters who will enjoy a lifetime of fun. These children will definitely have the skills necessary to carry on Oregon's hunting and shooting heritage in the finest tradition.
