SoonR Names Industry Veterans William Stewart, Patrick McVeigh to Its Board of Directors.

CAMPBELL, Calif. -- SoonR, the first provider of secure mobile access to applications on your PC over any network from any handset, today announced that Patrick McVeigh and William Stewart have joined its board of directors.

William Stewart is currently Chairman of Sand Hill Capital (SHC) and Founder/Chairman of Asia Pacific Ventures (APV) and APV Technology Partners (APV TP). Mr. Stewart, as Founder of APV, an international consulting firm, has advised over 350 U.S. venture backed IT start-up companies in the Japan/Asia marketplace, raising more than $3 billion in equity, revenue, debt and joint venture financing over the past 15 years. APV clients have included Red Hat, Lexmark, Verisign, RSA, Flextronics, Intuit, AST, and hundreds of others. At APV TP, a venture capital firm, investments include Okena (sold to Cisco), Lexar Media, WebTV (sold to Microsoft), SecureTax.com (sold to Intuit), Packet Engines (sold to Alcatel), and others. Mr. Stewart is the founding General Partner of APV TP I, II and III with over $200 million in early stage venture funding under management. Mr. Stewart has been Chairman of Sand Hill Capital since 1998. SHC specializes in venture debt and has provided debt services to over 150 VC backed IT companies since 1996. Prior to founding the APV companies, Mr. Stewart was the first American executive in the headquarters of NEC Corporation in Tokyo, Japan.

Patrick McVeigh is Interim CEO of PalmSource, Inc. PalmSource was recently acquired by Japanese mobile web-browser company Access (Tokyo Stock Exchange:4813). McVeigh has over 20 years of experience in the high technology and consumer electronics industry. He is the former CEO of Aliph Corporation and was chairman and CEO of Omnisky Corporation until it was acquired by Earthlink (NASDAQ:ELNK). McVeigh was with Palm, Inc. (NASDAQ:PALM) where he was responsible for worldwide sales of all Palm products as well as international marketing and operations. Before joining Palm, McVeigh spent nearly 10 years with Apple Computer in a variety of sales positions.
