For consumers and "prosumers" who want IEEE-1394 connectivity, speed and performance, Sony's Spressa i.LINK (CRX145E/XI) model is a 10X maximum recording (CD-R), 4X maximum recording (CD-RW), 32X maximum reading external drive, incorporating Sony's i.LINK (IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, New York, www.ieee.org) A membership organization that includes engineers, scientists and students in electronics and allied fields. 1394) high-speed interface, as well as a full suite of Macintosh(R) and Windows(R) software.
