Sonnet Announces Fastest Ever 360 MHz Processor Upgrade Card for Power Macintosh Computers.


IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 13, 1998--

Sonnet Tops Lineup with 333 MHz (MegaHertZ) One million cycles per second. It is used to measure the transmission speed of electronic devices, including channels, buses and the computer's internal clock. Crescendo G3 - 333 MHz with 1MB 2:1 ratio backside cache A level 2 memory cache that has a dedicated channel to the CPU, enabling it to run at the full speed of the CPU. See inline cache and lookaside cache.

The 333 MHz and 360 MHz models, geared for high-end, performance-hungry applications, produce impressive MacBench processor scores of 1150 and 1300 respectively -- up to 722% faster than the original system.

The 360 MHz model also works in the Power Computing Not to be confused with the extant computer hardware company also called Power Computing.
