Sonim Announces OMA-PoC 1.0 Ratification and Availability of Interoperable Push-to-Talk Solutions; Ratification by Open Mobile Alliance Unleashes PTT Market and Provides Interoperability Framework for Future P2P IMS Applications.

SAN MATEO San Mateo (săn mətā`ō), city (1990 pop. 85,486), San Mateo co., W Calif., on San Francisco Bay; inc. 1894. It is a commercial and retail center with some high-technology manufacturing. San Mateo, Spanish for St. , Calif. -- Sonim Technologies, provider of high-performance VoIP applications for mobile networks, announced the successful culmination of standardization work and interoperability testing for its suite of OMA-PoC 1.0 compliant products. Sonim's end-to-end OMA-PoC 1.0 solutions have completed exhaustive interoperability testing via OMA-sponsored TestFest activities dating to early 2005, as well as private bilateral IOT IOT In Order To

Today's announcement coincides with Board Approval of the PoC 1.0 AER standard by the Open Mobile Alliance, a significant milestone in the industry's effort to bring interoperable push-to-talk services to enterprise and consumer subscribers. As the only pure-play provider of end-to-end OMA-PoC 1.0 solutions, Sonim played an instrumental role in bringing the standard from concept to realization.

"Sonim Technologies has been an active participant in drafting, testing and optimizing the OMA-PoC 1.0 standard together with other OMA (1) See Object Management Architecture.

Sonim has also assisted wireless test equipment vendors in development of OMA-PoC 1.0 compliance tools. Now that several of these tools are complete, Sonim's products are among the first to be able to claim compliance with the standard -- ensuring interoperable products for its customers.

"Sonim has highlighted the importance of interoperability among PTT (1) (Postal, Telegraph & Telephone) The governmental agency responsible for combined postal, telegraph and telephone services in many European countries.
