Sonim XPS provides wireless operators the flexibility to deploy PoC immediately as an independent application, or within a 3GPP IMS environment.

--XPS IMS Upgradeable Configuration contains all functionality required in a commercial PoC Service for immediate turn-key deployments without a supporting IMS system, including SIP routing, call management, media processing, presence status and document management.

solution they can make money with now... not 5 years from now. We listened, and built XPS to meet the needs of operators," says Bob Plaschke, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Sonim Technologies. "XPS is OMA standards compliant, offering the largest possible market, with the greatest selection of handsets in the next 18 months. Our configuration and platform options allow operators the choice of how they want to launch PTT, either on top of an IMS core, as a standalone application, or on a hosted basis."

Sonim Xtend is highly scalable and reliable. It provides comprehensive provisioning, charging and OA&M functionality and interfaces for smooth integration with core IMS systems. XPS is available on a carrier grade Motorola EndurX HA chassis, and on a IBM X336 PC Rack Server (enabling fast time to market with smaller initial investment).

"XPS demonstrates Sonim's commitment towards developing standards-based VoIP applications that can create value for mobile network operators today and tomorrow," says Ken Rehbehn, Research Director for Telecom Infrastructure at Current Analysis. "Giving mobile operators a choice of deploying this OMA compliant PoC solution in either an IMS or a non-IMS environment with a range of server platforms means that operators enjoy important flexibility and faster time-to-market."

Sonim will be demonstrating the Xtend PoC Server and the Sonim Xperience(TM) PoC client, February 13-16, at the 2006 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona.
