Song(TM), a new airline service developed to change customer expectations for high-quality, low-fare air travel, announced today that Chef Michel Nischan will serve as their executive food consultant and will design and implement a fresh food program for Song beginning this fall.

Song strives to meet air travelers' individual and ever-changing needs through a variety of innovations, including this unprecedented food program, which will offer fresh, wholesome, healthy and delicious food to customers for a moderate cost.

"Our customers told us that they would be happy to pay for fresh, branded food items, because it would help make the flight more enjoyable for them and their families," said Joanne Smith, vice president - marketing and customers for Song. "Customers also tell us that it's more important to have well-known, high-quality, wholesome food choices at a cost than the traditional 'mystery' food choices for free. In addition to the unique and varied food offerings, Chef Nischan is working with Song to provide a program that supports local farmers and the organic brands that are leading the charge to deliver farm direct products to consumers. The program also will provide information on the food to Song talent and its customers in order to make the flight more enjoyable and to increase consumer knowledge about the foods they are consuming.

A Song Intranet will keep the talent current on the origin and history of menu items by providing information on farm direct products and participating farmers. It will offer food stories (Ben Franklin's favorite apple) that can serve as conversation starters for talent with customers. There will also be a list of strategic branded and organic food partners and an "Ask Chef Michel" Q&A, which will ensure that talent can clarify any questions they have about the existing program or other relevant issues.

Chef Nischan is also overseeing the creation of an in-flight well-being video that will encourage customers to pursue and maintain a healthy lifestyle beyond food.

Song offers customers simple, user-friendly pricing options, including 14-day, 7-day, 3-day, walk-up fares and sale fares. Fares do not require a Saturday-night stay. Customers can purchase tickets via the Song Web site www.flysong.com. All Song flights are operated by Delta Air Lines (NYSE NYSE
