Sunday Linn Sones and Jason Michael Holmes were united in marriage at First Baptist Church in Brookhaven at four in the afternoon on May 25, 2002. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Greg Warnock. Nuptial music was provided by Connie Wadsworth, organist; Nancy Fisher, pianist; and Bonnie Brown, violinist. Gena Everitt, the bride's aunt, sang "Saviour Like A Shepherd Lead Us" and "The Lord's Prayer." Kay Burton, the bride's aunt, served as the wedding director. The bride's proxy was Elizabeth Whittinghill.

The bride is the daughter of Bill and Theresa Sones of Brookhaven. She is the granddaughter of Edna Sones and the late U.G. Sones of Brookhaven and the late Henry and Eloise Krone of Jackson. The groom is the son of Jerry and Bonnie Holmes of Brookhaven. He is the grandson of Altha Holmes and the late Hilton Holmes, Sr. of Brookhaven and the late Ellna and Raymond Salito of New Orleans, Louisiana.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown featuring a full skirt of ivory satin with a sheer tulle overlay. The fitted bodice was accented with ivory and cafe silk embroidered flowers. The delicate embroidered flowers accented the sheer tulle fabric of the full skirt and cathedral length train. Her veil of tiers of illusion fell from a headpiece of pearls matching her gown. She carried a hand-tied pastel bouquet of roses, hydrangea and miniature calla lilies. Included in the bouquet was a French hand-sewn handkerchief made especially for the bride as "something new" by Mrs. Janie Coolie. Tucked into the bouquet was an heirloom handkerchief originally carried by her grandmother, Edna Sones, on her wedding day.

Sicily Kay Green served her sister as matron of honor. Bridal attendants were Amanda Burton, Christy Carley, Shelly Cloud, Lisa Dawkins, Julie Grissom, Melissa Hennington, Traci Holmes, Carley Marett, Emily Mulhollen, Casey Selph, Carrie Sones, and Emily Waterloo. Serving as flower girl was Hadley Green.

The groom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Anthony Britt, Jamey Bush, Tommy Crozier, Jason Green, Brian Hannula, John David Hewitt, Will Lofton, Alan Loving, Ben Sones, Bill Sones, Sam Sones, and Burt Sparks. Serving as ushers were Edward Everitt, Elliott Everitt, Cris Crisler, and Gates Crisler.

Greeting guests and serving as program attendants were Meg Crisler, Abby Fisher, Kayla Fisher, Shannon Hunter, Lindy Lewis, Heather Statham, and Shelby Statham. Distributing rose petals to guests were Allison Aker, Leslie Anne Aker, Brooke Behlar, Jessica Brister, Molly Grace Crisler, Shelby Doiron, Leah Francis Jones, Laura Lee Lewis, Anna Reid, and Megan Turcotte.

Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a reception in the First Baptist Church fellowship hall.

On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a lovely rehearsal dinner in the fellowship hall of Southway Baptist Church.

Following a honeymoon in St. John, the couple is at home in Canton, where the bride is Director of Student Activities at Mississippi College and the groom is the Youth Minister at First Baptist Church in Canton.
