Solvay Minerals Inc. Announces Marcie Peters Named Marketing Manager.

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 31, 2001

Solvay Minerals Inc. announces the appointment of Marcie Peters to the position of marketing manager, effective Nov. 1, 2001, according to Richard L. Hogan, president. In this position, Ms. Peters is responsible for the company's marketing strategies.

Ms. Peters joined Solvay in 1995 as marketing analyst for Solvay Polymers Inc. She has since served as that company's senior financial analyst, strategic planning manager, and industry manager. Prior to Solvay, she held technical sales positions at Phillips Chemical Company. Ms. Peters has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles UCLA comprises the College of Letters and Science (the primary undergraduate college), seven professional schools, and five professional Health Science schools. Since 2001, UCLA has enrolled over 33,000 total students, and that number is steadily rising. , and an M.B.A. in Finance Concentration from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
