Publisher/2000 Technology

Publisher/2000 is based on a powerful rules engine that "understands" the structure of the Designer/2000 repository. When a user needs to generate a Publisher/2000 document, a corresponding ruleset is executed. Rulesets can specify conditional queries and actions, allowing the data encountered in Designer/2000 to drive the document structuring process.

Users do not have to be concerned with the structure of the Designer/2000 repository or the nature of the Publisher/2000 ruleset. When it is time to create a document, the user chooses the desired document type from a selector (programming) selector - 1.
