Sollen partners with Netupdate. (Tech Newz).

DALLAS-BASED SOLLEN TECHNOLOGIES, AN Internet-based application service provider (ASP) of product, pricing and decisioning capabilities for the mortgage industry, has announced the integration of its LenderOnline product with Bellevue, Washington-based Netupdate Inc.'s Originator Pro point-of-sale (POS) system. The result is a comprehensive solution that provides loan officers with both an integrated, Internet-based POS function as well as the ability to obtain other critical loan information in real time.

Originator Pro is an integrated POS system that enables mortgage professionals to quickly qualify, engage and approve borrowers more efficiently through the Internet versus traditional loan origination software (LOS) and disconnected Web sites. LenderOnline is Sollen's Web-based solution used for loan searching, validation, loan-level adjusted pricing and locking for a wholesale, retail, correspondent or call center application. Using Originator Pro, loan officers are able to click on the product and pricing section and receive real-time loan information.

According to the companies, many industry experts believe the integration of the Sollen and Netupdate systems will provide loan officers with a product that is fundamental to their core responsibilities, "Our MORTECH data leaves no doubt that lenders ascribe great value to integrative functionality that makes loan officers more responsive both to their customers and to changing market conditions," said Jeff Lebowitz, principal at Chester, Connecticut-based MORTECH LLC. "When Sollen and Netupdate tie together real-time product and pricing with automated point of sale, they are zeroing in on a lender's most fundamental requirement. Splicing Sollen's Lender Online with Netupdate's Originator Pro adds synergy to both products."

According to Michel Van Hee, chief executive officer of Sollen Technologies, the decision to partner with Netupdate Inc. was due to the complementary nature of the two systems. "Netupdate did not have a pricing and product module, and Sollen Technologies did not have a point-of-sale system," he said. "We believe that by partnering, we will be able to offer our customers a more comprehensive and efficient system."

The integrated technology will be made available to current Sollen and Netupdate customers, as well as future clients.
