Solihull News: They're just wild about flowers; SOLIHULL.RESIDENTS are hoping to reap the benefit of their hard work after sowing hundreds of wild flower seeds in one of Solihull's most popular parks.
Solihull Council's park rangers were joined by Solihull in Bloom volunteers for a morning of planting the seeds in Brueton Park.
The theme for this year's Heart of England in Bloom competition is biodiversity biodiversity: see biological diversity.
Quantity of plant and animal species found in a given environment. Sometimes habitat diversity (the variety of places where organisms live) and genetic diversity (the variety of traits expressed , so the council issued an open invitation to residents to get their hands dirty and help make the borough blossom.
The event took place on Wednesday when the team of volunteers met up before heading off to plant the seeds in brilliant sunshine.
Wildlife experts were also on hand to give the volunteers a guided tour guided tour guide n → visite guidée;

Judges from the Heart of England in Bloom competition will be visiting Solihull in July.
The council recently issued a plea for ideas on unusual modes of transport they could use to take judges on a tour of the park.
