Alliance Delivers More Efficient Integration of Business Data

The Software AG-Contivo alliance enables customers using Software AG's Tamino(TM) native XML Server and EntireX(TM) enterprise application integration products to more quickly integrate multiple disparate data resources such as databases, enterprise applications, and eBusiness portals into networked business processes, while simultaneously improving the fidelity and understanding of the data being exchanged.

As a result of the alliance, Software AG and Contivo can significantly reduce the manual effort of mapping between interfaces through Enterprise Integration Modeling (EIM), an approach that analyzes and models the relationships between business documents, automatically configuring integration run-time code. Valuable knowledge about new business documents is configured to industry standards and is retained in an evolving repository that Software AG's customers can leverage as a centralized point to manage interfaces and messaging models.

The Contivo Analyst and EIM Server

The Contivo product is comprised of two elements: a Java-based graphical user interface (GUI) called the Contivo Analyst and the Contivo EIM Server. The Contivo Analyst is an intuitive graphical interface that is used to create semantic and structural models of integration data. The Analyst is also used to combine these data models to complete and customize data maps visually. Once the map is completed, the Contivo Analyst outputs transformation code, which is then used as a roadmap for information flows in a run-time environment.

The Contivo EIM Server is the back-end that powers Contivo Analyst. Contivo EIM Server contains the self-learning semantic databases of synonyms and rules that enable auto-mapping. Also part of the Contivo EIM Server is the Repository, which provides subscribers the ability to share maps and manage changes either within their companies or with their trading partners.

Tamino and EntireX Features
