GAITHERSBURG, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 13, 2000

Sodexho Marriott Services, Inc. announced today that Stephanie Nellons was appointed vice president, Business Development for its Schools division.

Ms. Nellons will direct the business development activities in large and extra-large school districts, nationally. This includes developing comprehensive marketing and governmental affairs strategies to elevate Sodexho Marriott's profile among school officials and policy makers at the federal, state, and local levels.

She will also be responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships with local minority and women-owned businesses.

Prior to joining Sodexho Marriott, Ms. Nellons directed industry relations activities for Ryder Public Transportation Services (RPTS RPTS Rapid Precision Targeting System (US Navy program at NAWCWD China Lake) ) in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she was responsible for elevating RPTS's profile at the federal, state, and local levels. RPTS is the largest provider of transit operations and management services; they also manage and maintain fleets for state and local governments.

Before working for Ryder she was the Senior Program Officer at the Transportation Research Board where she managed over $7 million of research in the Transit Cooperative Research Program. Ms. Nellons was also employed with the Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority, where she held a variety of management positions.
