 Sodano brought 1,216 new members into the DAV See WebDAV.  fold over the course of the 2003-2004 membership year to capture his eighth DAV Recruiter of the Year title.

The all-time DAV membership recruiting record holder, Sodano is an active member of DAV Chapter 118 and the DAV Department of New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
. His previous recruiting achievements include a run as DAV Recruiter of the Year for seven consecutive years starting in 1992.

"Prospero Sodano is a heavyweight heavyweight - High-overhead; baroque; code-intensive; featureful, but costly. Especially used of communication protocols, language designs, and any sort of implementation in which maximum generality and/or ease of implementation has been pushed at the expense of mundane  among DAV recruiters. Sodano believes the mission of the DAV--service to disabled veterans and their families--demands his best effort.

"The only way we will get the attention we deserve from our elected officials in Washington, D.C., is if we have the numbers that command attention," Sodano said.
