Sockeye Networks boosts network performance and control with new global data feed.

Sockeye Networks(TM) has enhanced its flagship GlobalRoute(SM) service with a newly developed global data feed, Sockeye announced today. The GlobalRoute data feed sets a new standard in the industry for accuracy, coverage and scalability, and allows fine-grained routing control not possible with alternative approaches.

Global topology topology, branch of mathematics, formerly known as analysis situs, that studies patterns of geometric figures involving position and relative position without regard to size.  data enables the Sockeye Networks GlobalRoute service to proactively determine alternate best-cost, best-performance routes for Internet protocol See Internet and TCP/IP.

This patent-pending software allows the GlobalRoute service to accurately determine the performance of available paths before rerouting IP traffic. For customers this will mean even greater performance improvements and more granular granular /gran·u·lar/ (gran´u-lar) made up of or marked by presence of granules or grains.
