Society of Plastics Engineers International, Automotive and Composites Divisions.Society of Plastics Engineers International, Automotive and Composites Divisions. The organizing committee for the SPE SPE - Software Practice and Experience Automotive Composites Conference & Exposition issued a call for papers for peer-reviewed technical presentatons and keynote addresses for its seventh annual show. Authors wishing to be considered for inclusion in this year's program should submit abstracts no later than March 30, and full papers or slide presentations by May 31 for peer review. Final corrected papers or presentations in the conference format are due by July 31. Topics already identified by this year's planning committee planning committee n (in local government) → comité m de planificación include advances in thermoset A polymer-based liquid or powder that becomes solid when heated, placed under pressure, treated with a chemical or via radiation. The curing process creates a chemical bond that, unlike a thermoplastic, prevents the material from being remelted. See thermoplastic. and thermoplastic A polymer material that turns to liquid when heated and becomes solid when cooled. There are more than 40 types of thermoplastics, including acrylic, polypropylene, polycarbonate and polyethylene. composites; bio- and natural fiber composites; recycling of composites; bonding, joining and finishing of composites; enabling technologies; nanocomposites; new composite materials and processing; structural composite applications; and virtual prototyping and testing of composites. The 7th Annual Automotive Composites Conference will be held September 11-13 at the Michigan State University Michigan State University, at East Lansing; land-grant and state supported; coeducational; chartered 1855. It opened in 1857 as Michigan Agricultural College, the first state agricultural college. Management Education Center in Troy, MI.
