Sobal Releases RFID Module Development Support Kit Compatible with UHF Band for Handy Terminals.


Tokyo, Japan, Mar 6, 2007 - (JCN) - Sobal will release the M9 Handy Terminal DK, a built-in UHF band RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) A data collection technology that uses electronic tags for storing data. The tag, also known as an "electronic label," "transponder" or "code plate," is made up of an RFID chip attached to an antenna.  module development kit with the smallest in-class SkyeModule M9 CF and 2 types of compact antennas, with other accessories, for a trial project.

The SkyeModule M9 CF is compatible with multiple protocols and allows reading and writing on IC tags (including EPC C1G1, EPC C1G2, ISO (1) See ISO speed.

The two UHF band antennas include a small circular polarized A one-way direction of a signal or the molecules within a material pointing in one direction.  wave antenna A, which is good for short distance transmission of 10 cm (at the maximum), and a direct polarized antenna B, good for long distance transmission of 30 cm (at the maximum).

The M9 Handy Terminal DK will be displayed at the IC Card World 2007 at the Tokyo Big Sight Tokyo Big Sight (東京ビッグサイト   between March 6 and 9.
